I hope everyone had a great Christmas. It was a great Christmas here at the Murray house. Santa treated the kids well!
I'd report on the month of December, but it's the same as last December, except for the move. Lots and Lots of parties! Lots and Lots of food! Lots and Lots of family!
Instead, here is our January news so far.....
For the past few years, R has been dying to get the kids up skiing. He loves it....I don't. Finally, M and S were interested in giving it a try. So Tuesday, R took them up for ski school. They had a blast and couldn't wait to get back up. On a side note--R is out of his cast-and boot-and today was his first day of physical therapy. He is walking around pretty well, so decided he could ski (crazy I know). So yesterday, they went back up and all three of them had a great day skiing. He was so proud of them. Sometimes, M and S can be a little cautious (hmmm..where did they get that from?), and maybe even wimpy when it comes to trying new things. Last night as we were going to bed, he said, "they never complained, they never wanted to quit, they tried so hard, they were so good, it was so fun!" He really wants me to give it another try. (The 2 times I tried to ski were not the best days of my life!) I think in a few years when the little ones are bigger, I will try......going to the lodge and having some cocoa and reading a book, while he has a great time with the kids. That sounds like a lot of fun doesn't it! Just kidding, I'm sure I'll get roped into skiing, and I'm sure I will end up loving it. I just wish skiing didn't include layers and layers, and speed, and steep hills, and heights, and the chair lift, and snow. OK that makes me sound wimpy! Am I the only one who has lived with mountains minutes away my whole life who doesn't love to ski? (other than my sisters and parents?)

I KNEW I liked you for MULTIPLE reasons! :) I HATE skiing and have lived here my WHOLE life....there you go. (snow skiing to clarify)
I think I am the only one in my family who really likes to ski and I didn't learn until I married a big skier! Besides there are lots of other fun winter things to do there, and your kids are little enough that you will have a good excuse not to ski for quite a few years!
Looks like you have had a busy month! Can't believe your hubby was up skiing that soon with his foot/leg and all! Crazy man!
BTW - wanted to let you know that I am making my blog private. I've had some weird traffic and a post from someone I don't know which has weirded me out. I don't have your email address & need it to invite you to be able to view it. I'll try and give you a call (or you call me) to see if I can get it -- don't want you to post it on my blog for the world to see!
Don't feel bad K. I don't care much for skiing either. I think I only went once while I was in Utah, once in Italy, and I could really just do without. Plus it's really spendy!
