Oh Boy

So M and S have been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid, M did a book report on it and had to make a model to represent a part of the book. It turned out cute, but needless to say, we've been talking a lot about Rodick and clan. So, I had the book sitting by the computer, B said, "Is this that Diarrhea in a Wimpy Kid book." Yep, that's what it will be called from now on!

My Future Ace of Cakes

M loves to watch Food Network, especially Ace of Cakes and the Cake Challenge shows, so I shouldn't have been surprised to see this....

all of the kids were playing with Playdoh but long after they were done, she was still working. She told me she was going to make a duck shaped cake. She molded it out of black doh, and it looked really cute. I came back a little later, and she had rolled the yellow out really thin, and as she was placing it over the duck she said, "I learned from watching the cake shows that this is how to do it," she had the fondant technique down, she was rubbing it to get the air bubbles out, meticulously trimming it. She spent a long time rolling out all of the white bubbles. And here is the final project. A duck having a bath. The pink and green things are the shampoo and conditioner bottles.

Who knows, maybe she can be Duff's apprentice!

On Saturday, B's friend called right as she was getting up, and wanted her to play. She rushed in to get dressed and came out in this. R and I didn't have the heart to make her change. She was so proud of herself. As the mom of the friend said, every possible pattern is represented here!
