...Not nearly as exciting as some of you may have been hoping for. I have gotten some really good laughs from the comments. Jess, my sister, I think was very offended, and called to let me have it for keeping secrets. So what is the big surprise? Well it's not a new baby (I promise I would not be very excited about that news, nor have I been waiting a long time for that). Drum roll please.....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
Today, I am a proud owner of a Shiny New WASHER AND DRYER!!!! Wa-wa-wa-waaaa.
I know for everyone else it's a major let down, but I have been so excited for this day! My dryer has been dying for probably 3 or 4 years. I swore when we moved my old one wasn't coming with me, but it's replacement got bumped for a new TV. So I have been limping through laundry day for a long time. It would dry clothes, but just take 2-3 cycles to do it. I think for some loads, a hair dryer would have been faster.
I have looked at washers and dryers pretty consistently, but my washer was fine. It still worked great, so it seemed silly to buy a new one just to match the dryer (I'm not vain). So I have just put off buying either, because I just couldn't decide what to do.
Last week, as we were getting ready to go camping, and our TV in the trailer was broken, still being under warranty, we just had to go get a new one. While R was at the store picking out a new TV, he talked to the washer and dryer salesman. He knew what I wanted, and so he called and told me the awesome news! I was so excited. I didn't have to do any shopping, and I was getting both HAPPY DAY! What a fun surprise!
We thought we were going to get it on Monday, but no deliveries on Monday, so we had to wait for today. I had to do something with my MOUNTAIN of laundry waiting for my new babies. Poor K's room! I hope these things can work miracles, because that pile is a little intimidating!
I'm sorry I left everyone hanging, but thanks for humoring me by acting a little interested in our lives. I really did have some fun laughs over the comments!
Now, I'm off to tackle the Mountain.

Hey, I think I would be pretty excited too. Congratulations! Yeah!!!! I've had my washer for 11 years now and the dryer for 8. I won't be sad when they die and I HAVE to get new ones. Have fun with the laundry.

Ok, so this IS exciting!! I am seriously just waiting for mine to die (again, the dryer has been brought back to life twice) and then I'm getting some like yours. They are gorgeous. Congrats on your new addition!! :)
You made my day, I loved the good laugh... And you know you could have come over and washed clothes with Heidi. I think she was just as excited as you were to get her new washer. But I like your announcement much better.
Oh the things that make us moms happy!! Congratulations! Looks like they had their work cut out for them right off the bat, I hope they are getting the job done!
