We have had a TON of rain this month. Record breaking amount of rain, for a record breaking number of days in a row. We are starting to feel like we live in the pacific northwest.
Mushrooms in the lawn are not unheard of around here, in fact they are pretty common. However, usually mushrooms in lawns are due to human error, over watering, leaky sprinkler, etc. And the mushrooms are small and clumpy, and annoying.
I have to say, these suckers are true blue, homes for Fairies, Toad Stools. I know other parts of the country get these all of the time, they have to, Martha Stewart makes a Yule Log cake, with Toad Stools out of meringue. They have to be a common sight, but not here in our dry desert state! I told B that Fairies live under Toad Stools, and so now it is forbidden to remove them!

I just can't believe the size of some of the mushrooms, and types that I have never seen before.
