Well, we survived the start of a new school, and I think both kids are adjusting well. M is really liking her teachers (she has 2). The jury is still out on S's. He says she is mean because she makes him write his name correctly. He would write a capital M and she is making him write a lower case m. She has made him try a few times. How rude for her to want something done correctly. So we're working on him. Other than that, he loves going to school, and he loves eating lunch there.
The first day was scary for all of us. At M's meet and mingle, I had my arm around her, and I put my hand on her heart and it was going 900 miles a minute. I felt her pain. Mine was doing the same!
S got to go and meet his teacher individually on the first day of school. As we were leaving he said, I thought we were going to meet my teacher. I said, we did, that was her. He said, Oh I thought she would be young or something. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed he warms up to her! It could be a long year if not. Here are a few first day pictures

Okay they are SOO cute! Sammy looks so big and grown up! I miss them like crazy! I glad it went well for them, and hope Sam likes his "old" teacher!
Tell Maddie that Melissa misses her too!! I hope she adjusts quickly. We would love to have Maddie come to play - maybe on a Friday when they get out early. Is Maddie dancing with Liz this year?
Oh so cute and so grown up! I can't believe how fast time goes!
